a. Conceptually inspired by street artist Banksy, Sweat explore the issues of capitalism and its effects of consumerism on the third world. The box was designed to separate an underground factory, where the cognitive mechanics of the exploited workers threads that act as the life force to the capitalist money tree, where the tree grows leaves made out of American dollar bills. The repetition of the worker’s inn their factories was employed to enforce the lack of individuality each worker faces.

b. The base is embedded in the earth and surrounded by the Bay’s water and a giant lily pond. It resembles a lotus flower with petals rising towards the sky and at the same time resembles a hand. In this way it seen as a ‘welcoming hand’ for those entering Singapore. Rain water is collected and is drained through an oculus that supports an interior pond at the base of the building.

c. This is a mountain on the outskirts of Taipei. It allows a full 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape. You could see a mixture of both urban and natural landscape as you looked over Taiwan.
