Final Rendered Light Rail Stop and Concepts

Concept 1: My first concept is inspired by architect Teodoro González de León, who was interested in the contrast between solidity and permanence against lightness and novelty. Within my light rail stop I explore both the juxtaposition and interrelation of these aspects. The prevalent incorporation of horizontal beams throughout the stop run parallel to the light rail carriages, supporting them and giving them strength as they emulate their movement. As this aspect gives the forms of my structure strength, it also has a sleek and light character coupled with the consistent use of metal textures. Concept 2: My second concept is inspired by David Adjaye, as he stresses the importance of building a structure as a single form, as opposed to individual aspects thrown together. Hence, I want to make this aspect the theme of my building and explore how it can be the basis of a form.
